GM specialists decided to create a very simple and beautiful car that everyone loves. For this, the chairman of GM, Bob Lutz started working on some sketches and by mid-October, the Pontiac Solstice roadster was under development. The program was executed in just under four months from the first sketch, to the drivable vehicle. The price will be somewhere around $20.000 and it will be very easy to build in a flexible manufacturing environment. The Solstice is powered by a rear-wheel-drive 2.2-liter DOHC supercharged EcoTec four-cylinder engine that delivers 240 horsepower with premium fuel.
